David Bonnette

ARIZONA CITY — David Earl Bonnette, 81, of Arizona City and Essex, Vt., died on Oct. 8, 2012, at Oasis Pavilion Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Casa Grande.
Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Casa Grande. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 by the Rev. Felix Rodriguez.
Mr. Bonnette was born on Jan. 18, 1931, in Burlington, Vt., and was a son of Earl S.P. and Enola G. D'Avignon Bonnette. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, serving for four years. He worked for General Electric for 33 years, retiring in 1993 as a technical writing supervisor.
He and his wife, Elaine B., met while playing in the band at the University of Vermont and celebrated 50 years of marriage on June 9. He was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a life member of the American Legion and a Benefactor member of the National Rifle Association. He wintered in the area for 19 years.
