David Cardenas Cordova Sr., 51, of Casa Grande died on July 10, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rock of Living Waters Ministries in Eloy. The celebration of life will follow at 11, with Pastor JR Hernandez officiating. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
Mr. Cordova was born on July 11, 1963, in Fresno, California. He was a devout Christian and was devoted to his family, including his grandchildren, called "Little Men." He loved playing his guitar and singing. He worked for Blue Beacon Truck Wash for 27 years and recently was a corrections officer at La Palma Correctional Center in Eloy.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Esther; a daughter, Celeste Lane of Queen Creek; a son, David Cordova Jr. of Casa Grande; his parents, Pedro and Damacia Cordova of Douglas; four sisters, Ruth Ibarra of Casa Grande, Neomi Kelly of Chandler, Racheal Southard of Sierra Vista and Lucy Ortega of Chandler; four brothers, Ruben Cordova of California, Peter Cordova of Douglas, Roger Cordova of Coolidge and Paul Cordova of Colorado; and four grandchildren.
