David G. Valenica

David G. Valencia Sr., 73, of Casa Grande died Feb. 12, 2008 at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.


Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with rosary recited at 7. The graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mr. Valencia was born Dec. 18, 1934 in Tucson. He served in the Army and was a lifelong farm worker and truck driver. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with them and friends. He enjoyed watching westerns and listening to country music.

Survivors include a son, David Valencia Jr. of Casa Grande; two daughters, Maria Delgado and Priscella Gomez of California; two sisters, Rita Sierra of Phoenix and Mary Ellen Mendoza of California; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Theodore "Shorty", Francisco "Chico" and John, and three sisters, Angie, Betty and Guadalupe.
