BLACKWATER - David Frank Lewis Sr., 36, of Blackwater, Arizona was born on February 17, 1981 in Phoenix, Arizona to his mother, Beryl Lewis.
David was a person who put his all into whatever he did. David cared for everyone and did his best to help when he could. He always put his family first, loved his children very much and worked hard to provide for them. He most recently worked for District 1 as a groundskeeper, taking great pride in his position and always willing to volunteer for community events. Previously, he worked for the Salt River Indian Community for several years. He had kindness in his heart that derived from growing up in church and learning about God. David touched the lives of so many (family, friends and co-workers). He is truly missed by many.
He is survived by his children which include three sons, David Jr., Issac and Gabriel Lewis; and his daughter, Delicia Ennis; his mother, Beryl Lewis; and his siblings, Glendalyn "Boski" and Anthony Lewis and Marion Salvicio; several neices and nephews; and his many friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Salvicio, and his sister, Joyce Lewis.
A celebration of life service of David's life will begain with a wake on Friday,March 16, 2018 from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday, March 16, at the District 1 Multipurpose Building in Blackwater, Arizona. On Saturday, March 17, 2018 a funeral service will be held beginning at 9 a.m. at the Indian Assembly of God in Coolidge, Arizona. Burial will immediately follow the funeral service in the Blackwater West Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are family and friends.
