David M. Rascon Sr., 68, of Marana died April 11, 2008 at University Medical Center in Tucson.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church by the Rev. Kevin Clinch. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mr. Rascon was born April 28, 1939 in Fort Stockton, Texas. He served in the Marine Corps Reserves. He was an insurance agent and worked and sold insurance in the Tri-Valley area for 32 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping and trips to Oak Creek Canyon. He had a tradition of making red chili every New Year's morning.
Survivors include his wife, Isabel H.; five daughters, Ida Rascon, Diana Cossette, Susana Chadwick, Veronica Rascon, all of Tucson, and Victoria Silvain of Chandler; four sons, David H. Rascon Jr. of Casa Grande, Martin H. and Gabriel Rascon of Tucson and Daniel Rascon of Yuma; his mother, Flora Rascon of Casa Grande; five sisters, Emma Costales, Mary Lou Mcquain, Vera Rascon Macias, Sonia Turner and Neomi Tucker, all of Casa Grande; three brothers, Tony and Gilbert Rascon of Casa Grande and Herman Rascon of Arizona City; 33 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Jose A. Rascon; his father, Antonio Rascon Sr.; and two brothers, Roger and Rojelio Rascon.
