ELOY - David Paul Williams, 68, of Eloy died at home on June 3, 2016.
Mr. Williams was born in Chicago on April 21, 1948, to Curtis and Eleanor (Harris) Williams. He attended Francis W. Parker School and Illinois Wesleyan University. He worked for AT&T as a telecommunications technician until his retirement.
He embraced the Baha’i Faith in 1971 and actively followed the teachings of Baha’u’llah since then. He married Bonnie (Brault) Williams, often called Mikki, on Feb. 26, 2000, and they moved to Eloy shortly after his retirement and participated at the Desert Rose Baha’i Institute. He was known for his love of clever puns and baseball.
Survivors include a son, Brian Renfroe of Bloomington, Minnesota, and a sister and brother, Sylvia Pleas and Michael Williams of Chicago. He was preceded in death by his wife and a brother, George Williams.
The graveside service will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Desert Rose Memorial Gardens, 1950 W. William Sears Drive. A memorial service and memory sharing at the Round House at Desert Rose Baha’i Institute will follow.
