CUCKELBUR VILLAGE — David R. Joaquin Jr., 41, of Phoenix died on March 28, 2010 at Suncrest Healthcare Center in Phoenix.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today at St. Francis Catholic Mission in Cuckelbur. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 by the Rev. Ignatius DeGroot. Burial will be at sunset in Cuckelbur Cemetery.
Mr. Joaquin was born on Nov. 16, 1968 in Sacaton. He was a machinist. He enjoyed drawing charcoal portraits and making dream catchers.
Survivors include his companion, Shunnalee Pedro; a daughter, StarMarie Joaquin of Phoenix; a son, Joshua Joaquin of Phoenix; his father and stepmother, David and Annette Joaquin of Cuckelbur; three brothers, Vernon and Delvin Joaquin of Cuckelbur and Aaron Joaquin of Arizona City; and four sisters, Vieanna Joaquin of Cuckelbur, Victoria Begay of Kayenta, Norberta Joaquin of Mesa and Fredina Joaquin of Arizona City. He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgiana Pablo-Joaquin, and two brothers, Nelson and Kelvert Joaquin.
