FLORENCE - Dean Caldwell Yedica Jr., 61, of Florence died Nov. 3, 2007.


Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Assumption Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Charles Cloud.

Mr. Yedica was born July 8, 1946 in Seattle. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and a business administrator. He was an avid outdoorsman and appreciated and loved the beauty of the desert and historical things. He was devoted to his family and was known for his humor and spirit.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Phyllis; a daughter, Leah Yedica of Kauai, Hawaii; four sons, Derek Yedica of Seattle, Nick Yedica of Spokane, Wash., Peter Yedica of Scottsdale and Daniel Yedica of Florence; his father, Dean Yedica Sr. of Apache Junction; two sisters, Jodi Skiba of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, and Christine Yedica of San Francisco; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gwen, in 2006.
