SACATON - Delia Turner Escobar, 83, of Tucson died on June 23, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
The wake will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday at the District 4 Service Center. The funeral will be at 6 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church in Sacaton. Burial will be in Jones Cemetery.
Ms. Escobar was born on Oct. 25, 1930, in Sacaton and was a daughter of Virgil Miles and Jennie Turner Miles. She was a homemaker and a loving, caring woman who would help those in need. She was a great cook and a hard worker raising her children so they would have a good life. She enjoyed working in her garden and had a great sense of humor and a smile no matter what the circumstances.
Survivors include four daughters, Linda Flores of Phoenix, Della Lumm of Tucson, Michelle Escobar of Tucson and Guadalupe Escobar of New Jersey; a son, Armando Escobar of Texas; her companion, Clifford Juan; 40 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Roland Lewis and Edward Garcia, and two daughters, Deborah Thompson and Consuelo Garcia.
