On the morning of May 27, 2024, Delray Skye Rivers, a beloved member of the community, passed away. He was born on April 18, 1992, in Chandler, Arizona, and spent his formative years on the Colville reservation in Keller, Washington. Later in life, he returned to Sacaton, Arizona, where he remained until his passing. Skye will be remembered for his kind heart and his dedication to his family and friends.
Skye was a 32-year-old outdoor enthusiast with a deep passion for hunting. His profession as a groundskeeper allowed him to spend ample time in nature, which he cherished. Skye treasured the strong bonds he had with his tight-knit circle of friends. They all shared his passion for the outdoors and often joined him in playing video games.
He was family-oriented, always ready to help and lend a hand. He cherished spending time with family and was a beacon of positivity for the younger generation, guiding them with his wisdom and love. He liked to be involved in family events, always bringing a sense of joy and togetherness.
Skye is survived by his mother, Starr Picard, his sister Sunshine, his niece Rebel, and his brother-in-law Dave Weyandt.
He possessed an incredibly beautiful and kind soul, and his untimely departure left a void in our hearts. However, the impact of his life reverberates in the love and peace he brought to everyone around him.
