Dennis R. Jackson

Dennis R. Jackson, 72, passed away on October 5, 2019. He was born June 21,1947 to Donald and Jean Jackson in Kenny, Illinois. Dennis worked for the SOO Line Railroad for many years and also as a corrections officer at the CCA correction Centers in Eloy, AZ. Dennis retired from CCA to care for his wife and enjoy retirement in 2012. In his early years he loved working with and raising horses and riding motorcycles. Dennis loved camping and fishing in his spare time as well as watching John Wayne westerns and spending time with his wife and dogs. Dennis loved spontaneous outings and surprising his wife with popup trips. He will be deeply missed by his family.
Dennis is survived by his spouse: Virginia Jackson of Casa Grande; his children: Ruth Ann (Henry) Handler of Mesa, Arizona, Raymond (Christine) McClelland of Tucson, Arizona, James Robert Jackson (Marabanian) of Chicago, Illinois, Ginger (Brian) Diedrich of Gilbert, Arizona; his sister: Donna (the late Larry) Powers of Roscoe, Illinois; his grandchildren: Vince Handler, Christopher Handler, Kari Wiegand, Connor Handler, Zachary Marabanian, Katelyn McClelland, Laura Diedrich and Shannon McClelland; five great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother: Scott Jackson.
Visitation will be held 9am with funeral service to follow at 10am on Thursday, October 17th, 2019 at Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande. Graveside service will follow at Veterans National Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona.
