Derrick (Day) Shane Chuigo

Derrick (Day) Shane Chuigo, was born April 21, 1983 in Phoenix, AZ to Frank and Sharon Chuigo. Derrick passed on October 10, 2020 in Chandler, AZ. He resided on the Gila River Indian Reservation, District 1. (Blackwater) Derrick was a loving father to his three sons Justin Chuigo, Peter Chuigo and Tristan Hamalowa. Derrick lived every day of his life with love for his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his children, his family and friends. He enjoyed music, dancing and a good meal. Derrick lived life to the fullest, he had a great sense of humor and loved to fill the room with laughter. His ability to be there for anyone or any situation was a true testament of his character and love of life. His smile is one that will not be forgotten. Derrick will be truly missed by many. He is survived by his Mother and Father, Frank and Sharon Chuigo; his three sons; Brothers, Anthony and Cedric Chuigo; Sister, Selena Chuigo; Nieces, Alysia Viola, Anaya, and Keilani Chuigo, Makaya Lucero and Kateri Rodriguez; Nephews, Ryan Chuigo-Encinas, Gabriel Zuniga, Gavan Thomas and Anthony Chuigo Jr.
