Dick L. Shaw, 70, of Casa Grande died on Dec. 24, 2011.
The celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. next Wednesday at the Fiesta Grande RV Resort ballroom, with Pastor Louis Hulsey officiating.
Mr. Shaw was born on Oct. 28, 1941, in Cameron, Mo. He was a military veteran and worked for Pavlich Inc. of Kansas City, Kan. He was a road boss, overseeing 35 trucks from 1997 to 2010, when he retired.
He loved to read, especially westerns by Louis L'Amour, and also Tom Clancy books. He enjoyed swing dancing with his wife and hiking and camping in Weston Bend State Park in Missouri. He also enjoyed woodworking and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Kaye; two daughters, Audra Shaw-Herkelman of Jefferson City, Mo., and Allison Thompson of Liberty, Mo.; his mother, Cathryn D. Shaw of Pattonsburg, Mo.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl L. Shaw.
