Domitila Valdez

ELOY — Domitila B. Valdez, 85, of Eloy died on Feb. 25, 2011, at home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Valley Chapel. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Templo La Hermosa, with Pastor Leandro Villarreal officiating. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
Mrs. Valdez was born on Dec. 1, 1925, in Dona Ana, N.M., and was a daughter of Paz and Maria De Jesus Banda. She was a homemaker and a member of Templo La Hermosa. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her dog, Chata. She loved her family and especially the time she spent with the children.
Survivors include five daughters, Bertha B. Valdez, Luisa B. Macias, Guadalupe B. Diaz, Magdalena B. Salazar and Elia B. Juarez, all of Eloy; five sons, Julian B., Demetrio B., Eusebio B., Mario B. and Eulalio B. Valdez Jr., all of Eloy; three sisters, Aurora Banda-Flores of El Paso, Texas, Ana and Maria De Jesus Banda of Mexico; four brothers, Andres Banda of New Mexico, Alberto and Dimas Banda of Mexico and Eliseo Banda of El Paso; 33 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eulalio Valdez Sr.
