Donald "Jake" Heberlein

ARIZONA CITY - Donald "Jake" Heberlein, 87, of Arizona City died on May 17, 2015.

Mr. Heberlein was born on Oct. 10, 1927, in Stratton, Colorado. He and his wife of 25 years, Susie, enjoyed golf and traveling in their motor home. He also loved fishing and spent many years creating artistic pieces with his woodworking skills.

He served his country in the Pacific Theater of World War II. After his discharge, he worked in heavy construction for about 30 years, on projects including the Eisenhower Tunnel and the Cheyenne Mountain Complex in Colorado.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Pat Heberlein; a daughter, Sheila Goody; and a brother, Russell Heberlein.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
