Donald Ray Fraley, 70, of Gilbert, Arizona passed away November 4, 2017 in Phoenix, AZ. He was born on February 27, 1947 in Tempe, Arizona to Roy and Edith (Johnson) Fraley. He grew up primarily in Coolidge, Arizona, but his parents were migrant workers that traveled between Arizona, Utah, Oregon and Washington.
Donald joined the United States Army and entered the service on May 13, 1966. He served in both Korea and in Vietnam as a Track Vehicle Mechanic. After eight years, eight months, and 18 days of faithful service to his country, he left the Army and was honorably discharged.
Donald resumed civilian life and initially returned to Casa Grande, Arizona in 1975. After working at various establishments, Donald would ultimately start a second career with the Toltec Elementary School District where he worked for 30 years as a facilities maintenance technician and later supervisor. Donald retired from Toltec Elementary School District on July 28, 2009.
Donald was also a devout Christian who loved God and served Jesus, our personal savior. Donald was a co-founding member of The Fountain of Living Waters Pentecostal Church initially established in Eloy, Arizona. He loved sharing scripture with friends and family and stood fast in his faith in God. He would rarely get discouraged and always had a positive outlook on life and constantly encouraged others. His unselfish devotion to God, his family, and his many friends inspired
those that knew him, and he will be sorely missed.
Donald is survived by his brother, John Lee Fraley of Texas; sister, Patsy Lee Sherman of Utah; four children, Marc Fraley and Ardis Fraley both of Mesa, AZ, Lori Reinhardt, and Martin Fraley, of Gilbert, AZ; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 9:00 AM, Friday, November 10th with a funeral following at 10:00 AM at the Casa Grande First Assembly of God in Casa Grande, AZ. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in Casa Grande.
