Donna Kisto-Jones

Donna Kisto-Jones, 71, passed away on February 12, 2022. She was born on September 27, 1950 to the late Everett F. Kisto and Lorraine E. Kisto in Sacaton, AZ. Mrs. Kisto-Jones was a hard working woman who worked for the BIA Pima Agency. Then went to HuHuKam Memorial Hospital as Patient Registration and also for the Komatke Health Clinic as an Apppointment Clerk. She then transferred to Gila River Indian Community Judicial Court known as Akimel O’otham Loditha Kud Ki. She started out as a Court Clerk then onto a Clerk Supervisor, working her way up. She ran for Associate Judge and served a six-year term, accomplishing her dream and she ran for Chief Judge. She loved the work she did as a Judge, with the employees as well as the community she served, later retiring. Donna was a God-fearing woman who grew up in church all her life. She loved to sing, ministering through song and giving encouraging words. She was in a Gospel group her father initiated, called Unity For Christ. He later passed the group to her as they traveled to different areas of Arizona spreading God’s Word. Donna loved spending time with her family and friends. When her husband passed in 2013, all she had was her daughter. They both grew a strong mother-daughter relationship, going where ever the road took them, having fun and enjoying life together. Every day was an adventure. Donna is survived by her daughter, Caralee D. Jones; grandchild, George Rodriquez; mother, Lorraine E. Kisto, all of Sacaton; and six siblings, Janet Kisto, Cheryl Miguel, Gregory Kisto Sr., Claudette Kisto, Lori Kisto, Renee Gary.
She is preceded in death by her father, Everett F. Kisto and her sister, Ervaleen K. Kisto. Funeral Service will be held at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Santan Baptist Church in Stotonic. Burial to follow at East Cemetery in Sacaton. J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
