SACATON - Donna May Stone, 75, of Sacaton died on Nov. 4, 2014, at home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Mission in Sacaton, with rosary recited at 6. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Mission in Bapchule by Monsignor Ed Meulemans. Burial will be in Vah-Ki Cemetery.
Mrs. Stone was born on July 28, 1939, in Sacaton and was a daughter of Antonio and Chilito Jackson. She was a homemaker, loved the Lord and was an active member of St. Anthony Catholic Mission, where she was a eucharistic minister and lector. She loved to cook, read and listen to oldies music. She served as a Gila River Indian Community council member and represented District 5 from 1969 to 1975.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Cedric Stone; two sons, Patrick Luther Sr. and Stephen Luther of Sacaton; a daughter, Lisa Luther-Eschief of Sacaton; a sister, Norma Watts of Show Low; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, Peter, Gregory and Samuel Luther Jr.; four brothers, Vincent, Kenneth and James Jackson and Arnold Juan; three sisters, Alice Manuel, Velma Lewis and Frances Makil; and a grandchild.
