Dorene Jane Whitman

SACATON - Dorene Jane Whitman, 74, died on Nov. 6, 2017, in Sacaton.
Ms. Whitman was born on Jan. 24, 1943, to Elmer and Blanche Blackwater in Sacaton. She was a homemaker and a devoted member of Blackwater Baptist Church. She loved to sing in the choir and listen to her Christian music. She also loved her cat, Precious Whitman, very much.
Survivors include two daughters, Delores Pe�uelas and Yvonne Whitman; a son, Donovan Whitman; four sisters, Yolanda Gonzales, Gloria Osife, Esther Webb and Sandra Walters; a brother, Harlan Osife; 30 grandchildren; and 61 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Lynette Villalobos and Gladys Moroyoqui, and three sons, Eric, Tellas Jr. and Raymond Whitman Sr.
Wake beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, at the District 3 Service Center. Funeral at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Blackwater Baptist Church. Burial at 9 a.m. in East Sacaton Cemetery.
