ARIZONA CITY - Doris Elizabeth Hampton, 68, of Arizona City died on Aug. 27, 2015, at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix.
The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fountains of Living Water Church in Casa Grande, with Pastor Josh Ibarra officiating. Interment will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
Mrs. Hampton was born on April 27, 1947, in Eloy and was a daughter of Arthur Parker and Dorothy Floyd. She was a social services case worker and a former member of the Central Arizona College and Eloy Elementary School District boards.
She was a member of Fountains of Living Water Church and Back to the Patch in Eloy. She loved politics, shopping and participating as a civil rights activist. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved her family. She was a good friend and confidant and had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Tara R. Hampton of Arizona City; a son, Damon E. Hampton of Casa Grande; two sisters, Saletha M. Stevenson of Whitsett, North Carolina, and Barbara J. Patterson of Tucson; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie E.; a son, Michael A. Hampton; and a brother, Arthur E. Parker Jr.
