COOLIDGE — Doris Ann Reed, 65, of Coolidge died on March 13, 2013, in Phoenix.
Visitation will begin at noon Thursday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel. The funeral will follow at 1. Burial will be in Heritage Valley Memorial Park. A celebration of life party will follow at her home.
Mrs. Reed was born on Jan. 21, 1948, in Florence and was a daughter of Miridean and Lawerance Frazier. She was a homemaker and also had various jobs, including being a switchboard operator at the Arizona Training Program at Coolidge, working at a local cab company and tending bar at 21 Club in Coolidge. She was opinionated with "old-school values" and a "red-head temper" but was very generous.
She knew just about everyone in Coolidge and enjoyed quilting, making many quilts. She also enjoyed visiting, cooking, baking and spending time with her family. She was a great influence on the lives of many family members.
Survivors include four sons, Eddie Fansler Jr. of Florence, Michael Fansler of Buckeye, Jimmy Fansler of Coolidge and William Reed of San Diego; two daughters, Angela Felix and Holly Reed of Coolidge; four brothers, Donald and Billy Frazier and Roy Lee Freeman, all of Casa Grande, and Bobby Frazier of Florence; four sisters, Carol Martinez, Barbara Ferguson and Royce Ann Freeman, all of Coolidge, and Terri Fouse of Prescott; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Franklin L. Reed, in 2005 and a daughter, Kathleen Elder.
