CASA GRANDE - Dorothy Lorie McIntire, 98, of Casa Grande died on March 30, 2018.
Mrs. McIntire was born on Aug. 16, 1919, to Brady W. Veazey and Dora E. Stevens in Howe, Texas. She was a diligent Bible student. From the early 1950s, she and her family attended either Calvary Southern Baptist Church or an Eloy Baptist church. When she was 77, she was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in Anchorage, Alaska. She remained a Witness while living in Casa Grande for the last 21 years of her life.
She was devoted to her family. She stayed alert with very good brain function until the last day of her life. She died in her own home with her two daughters as her caregivers.
Survivors include her daughters, Danna Lambeth of Sun Lakes and Pamela Randall of Casa Grande; two siblings, Perkins Veazey of Southlake, Texas, and Marcia McIntire of Sweetwater, Texas; three grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a stepgrandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Van Clifton McIntire, and a brother, B.W. "Dink" Veazey.
Service at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, at Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Casa Grande.
