CASA GRANDE - Douglas Herman Olson, 70, of Casa Grande died at home on April 13, 2016.

Mr. Olson was born on Dec. 10, 1945, in Minnesota and was a son of Wallace and Jeanne Olson. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and owned a water and wastewater management business. He was hardworking and independent and always learning new things. He loved to cook and grill, loved his grandkids and enjoyed spending time with them.

He traveled the world, loved taking pictures, was trusting and lived life to the fullest. He liked adventure, was spontaneous and had a roaming spirit. He loved his friends and party times, his dogs and helping people.

Survivors include two daughters, Charity Olson of Casa Grande and Shannon Olson of Maricopa; a sister, Carmen Sanchez of New Mexico; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, and a brother, Edward Rico.

Memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post 1677.

The celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. April 30 at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1677.
