Douglas James Hightower

Mr. Hightower was born on Sept. 7, 1955 in Rapid City, South Dakota. Doug died after a lengthy battle with cancer with his nephew, guardian, advocate and caregiver, Bret Himes, and sister Lorri by his side. He was a Jack-of-all-trades and he worked in construction. There was nothing he could not build. He enjoyed NASCAR, his dogs and rock collecting.
Survivors include two sisters, Lorri G. Himes (husband Bill Himes) of Casa Grande and Linda R. Caum (husband George Caum) of Lexington KY; a brother, Raymond Hightower of Casa Grande; two daughters, Rachael and Ashley Hightower of Casa Grande; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn, and his parents Jim Q. Hightower and Beverly J. Prater.
Please join us in celebrating his life Wednesday, May 21st, 10 a.m. at Mountain View Chapel. Donations can be made in his name to Hospice Charitable Fund of Central Arizona.
