GOODYEAR VILLAGE — Douglas Dale “Doug” Webb, 56, died Oct. 6, 2009 at Chandler Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be at 7 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Sacaton, with the Rev. Irving Terry officiating. Burial will be in Snaketown Cemetery.

Mr. Webb was born Aug. 13, 1953 in Sacaton. He graduated from Chandler High School in 1971 and enjoyed the rivalry with the Casa Grande Cougars. He was a heavy-equipment operator in construction and very faithful in his job, even if it was many miles away. He made an effort to be there an hour early each day.

He enjoyed coaching and playing baseball and watching sports. He also enjoyed roping, rodeos and being with his family. He loved to cook. He enjoyed seeing his friends and frequently teased his family and had nicknames for them.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Rebecca M.; a son, Justin Webb of Goodyear Village, Gila River Indian Community; a daughter, Devonne Smith of Chandler; three brothers, Emerson Webb of Santa Cruz Village, William and Roderick Webb of Goodyear Village; three sisters, Veronica Enos and Sylvia Flores of Goodyear Village and Monica James of Sacaton Flats; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emory D. and Lenora Webb; a son, Donovan Webb; three brothers, James and Cameron Webb and Larry D. Allison; and a sister, Sandra Moreno.
