Duane Charles Trudel

COOLIDGE - Duane Charles Trudel, 74, of Mesa died at home on Sept. 1, 2016.

Mr. Trudel was born on Feb. 4, 1942, in Cavalier, North Dakota, to Charles and Luella Trudel. He was a dedicated, hard worker who spent more than 20 years as a businessman, building Dakota Alarms from scratch. He took great pride in all that he did and achieved.

In his spare time he enjoyed playing cards with his wife and joking around with his four children. He was known for his sense of humor and fun-loving personality. A veteran of the Navy, he was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Judy; four adult children, Skipper Trudel of Hillsboro, North Dakota, Sherri L. Farrell of Portland, Oregon, Michelle Stensland of Rochester, Minnesota, and April A. De La Torre of Mesa; a sister, Patricia Irene Wallenberg of Lancaster, Minnesota; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Martin R. Trudel.

The celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. today at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel, with Pastor Joe Witner officiating. Burial will be later in Heritage Valley Memorial Park
