Durwin Robert Stewart

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Durwin “Boyla” Robert Stewart on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Durwin was born on December 26, 1954, to Verona and Roland Stewart. Durwin is a tribal member of the Gila River Indian Community and was raised and resided on Bapchule, Az; he is survived by his three siblings, Karen Stewart, Annette Stewart and David Stewart.

 Throughout his career, he worked at SRP and Kaiser Aluminum in his younger years but most recently he worked at Lone Butte Casino as a security officer and retired in 2019 after 19 years of service. Durwin enjoyed Sunday brunch with his family and always looked forward to spending family vacations to his favorite destination Disneyland! He was always a shoulder to cry on, ear to listen to and a hug away if needed. 

Durwin leaves behind twin daughters Shelley Stewart & Tamara Stewart, 1 son in law, 2 granddaughters and multiple nieces, nephews. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten by all his family and friends. We love you Dad!
