PHOENIX — Earl Garza, 48, of Phoenix died on Dec. 21, 2012, at Banner Estrella Medical Center.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at West Resthaven Funeral Home in Glendale. A celebration of life will follow at 10. Burial will be in West Resthaven Cemetery.
Mr. Garza was born on Oct. 26, 1964, in Yuma. He was an aerospace engineer and retired after 30 years with Presto Casting Company. He loved his family and spending time with them, fishing and camping and was a big Cardinals and Diamondbacks fan. He had a great sense of humor and loved laughing and family gatherings.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Cheryl; two daughters, Mallori and Briana Garza of Phoenix; his father, Abelino Garza of Phoenix; five brothers, Matt and Jody Garza of Phoenix, Abel Garza of Picacho, Michael Garza of Yuma and Abelino Garza Jr. of Texas; seven sisters, Cris Sanders, Doria Garza-Huddleston and Letty Arviso, all of Casa Grande, Sandra Federico and Cynthia Garza of Phoenix, Yvonne Wood of Oregon and Janie Cooksey of Texas; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Louisa Garza.
