KOHATK VILLAGE — Edith Ann Mike, 74, died on July 14, 2011, at Hospice of the Valley, Coronado Home in Phoenix.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the Miguel home in Kohatk. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 7 p.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Mission by the Rev. Ignatius DeGroot. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Burial will be Friday morning in North Komelik Cemetery.
Ms. Mike was born on Nov. 17, 1936, in North Komelik and was a daughter of John and Amelia N. Ventura Mike. She graduated from Phoenix Indian High School in 1955 and worked as a seamstress and presser for Industrial Uniform Service, retiring after 26 years. She enjoyed watching “Wheel of Fortune” and WWE wrestling on TV and liked all kinds of music. She was a big Diamondbacks and Suns fan.
Survivors include a son, Russell Marks; two sisters, Linda Mike and Rose Andrews; 38 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Olisto Mike Sr., and a sister, Loretta Antone.
