Edward B. Harden, 79, of Casa Grande died on Jan. 6, 2013, at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
The memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Sunwest clubhouse, with Brother Ronnie Jones officiating.
Mr. Harden was born on March 25, 1933, in Greenville, Ga., and was a son of Georgia L. Parks (Erwin) and Edward B. Harden. He served in the Army during the Korean War, was a master sergeant and received the Korean Service Medal with three bronze stars. He later was a skilled painter and worked for General Motors for 30 years in Flint, Mich. He enjoyed watching sports, especially Detroit Lions football, fishing and talking with his brothers on the phone.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Gertrude; three daughters, Vivian Harden of Phoenix, Lois Harden of Flint and Renita J. Broadway of Kalamazoo, Mich,; a son, Lawrence McDay of Casa Grande; two brothers, Franklin D. Harden of Detroit and William C. Harden of Tennessee; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Keith Harden; a brother, Robert Harden; and a sister, Patsy Geiger.
