Edward Carl Kromer Sr., 74, of Casa Grande died on Nov. 4, 2014, at home.
Mr. Kromer was born on Nov. 5, 1939, in Rossiter, Pennsylvania, and raised in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. He was a son of Edward L. Kromer and Isabel Maniscalco. He served in the Air Force and was stationed in Tucson, where he met his future wife and the love of his life, Mercy. He later worked for Motorola, where he received a number of patents for his designs. He then owned and operated a business as a consultant for 35 years. He traveled extensively in Russia and Europe for consultations and contracts on commercial equipment.
He loved to hunt and fish and participated in guided hunts for geese, antelope and moose. He loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife of 53 years, survivors include a daughter, Debra A. Wilson of Casa Grande; two sons, Ed C. Kromer Jr. of Yuma and Kenneth M. Kromer of Tucson; five sisters, Linda, Sue, Patty, Wendy and Elaine, all of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Richard "Butch" and Bobby "Bob" of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
No service will be held at his request.
