LOWER SANTAN - Edward Jones "Eddie Boy" Miguel Jr., 45, of Lower Santan died on July 19, 2015.
The wake will be from 6 p.m. to midnight Friday at the District 4 Service Center, with rosary recited at 6. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 7 a.m. Aug. 1 at St. Anne Catholic Mission by Monsignor Ed Meulemans. Burial will be in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery.
Mr. Miguel was born on Nov. 13, 1969, in Sacaton. He was a self-employed welder and a joker with a great sense of humor. He was a member of St. Anne Mission and an all-around cowboy who participated in the Southwest rodeo circuit and PRCA, winning many events. He was well known for his horse training skills.
He also was a well-rounded athlete who played a variety of sports. He was very artistic and enjoyed drawing. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his kids.
Survivors include four daughters, Nissa Miguel of Sacaton, Emily Miguel of Fountain Hills, Kortney Miguel of Stotonic and Jolee Miguel of Mesa; seven sons, Emmett Miguel of Sacaton, Michael Miguel of Casa Grande, Denton, Garrett and Thomas Miguel, all of Mesa, Kyle Flores of Stotonic and Saban Miguel of Salt River; four sisters, Edwardine Townsend of Coolidge, Jill Miguel of Santan, Elgena Miguel and and Lynelle Williams of Sacaton; four brothers, Elgin Miguel of Maricopa, Mark Miguel of Sacaton, Gabriel Martinez of Lehi and Ritz Williams Jr. of Colorado; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Madeline Miguel.
