Edward Richins

ELOY — Edward Alan Richins, 75, of Eloy died on May 14, 2013, at home.
Mr. Richins was born on Dec. 1, 1937. Immediately after graduating high school, he served honorably in the Army as a gunner and later joined the Navy to become a helicopter mechanic. He later moved back to Ogden, Utah, and became a fireman for Union Pacific Railroad. While working for the railroad, he graduated from Weber State College (now University). He retired from Union Pacific as an engineer.
In high school he wrestled, played football and golfed. He loved the outdoors and spent most of his spare time golfing, fishing or hunting. He had a heart of gold.
Survivors include a daughter and son, Kristi and Mike; three brothers, Roger Richins of Ogden, Barry Richins of Holbrook and Hal Richins of Tucson; two sisters, Francis Richins of Cedar City, Utah, and Cynthia Newsom of Germany; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife and best friend, Judy.
