Elda Reyes

Elda Reyes, 60, passed away unexpectedly with her family by her side on Monday, August 11, 2014. Elda was born in Casa Grande, Arizona to Matilde and Amelia Florez. Elda lived a full life. She enjoyed camping, trips to Rocky Point, and long distance running. In addition to surrounding herself with family and friends and always having a camera handy to capture timeless memories, Elda had a deep love for her family. We will miss her infectious laugh and smile, always o ering a helping hand and pleasant disposition.
In 1996 Elda was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and she fought a long and brave battle against MS. She was always strong for everyone else. Her strength will forever inspire us.
Elda is survived by her loving husband, Manuel Reyes of Casa Grande; mother, Amelia Florez of Casa Grande; sons, Robert Florez of Tucson, Adam Florez and Shaun Reyes of Casa Grande; daughters, Sonia Ortega of Casa Grande and Sonia Reyes of Phoenix; brother, Pete Flores of Casa Grande; and sister, Nellie Perez of Peoria, AZ. Her father, Matilde Florez preceded her in death. She also leaves behind 16 grandchildren and ve great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Cole & Maud the Gardens Chapel, with a rosasry at 11:00 a.m. recited by Terry Garza.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made in honor of Elda Reyes to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Elda was one of a kind and will truly be missed.
