BAPCHULE — Eldon Joseph Howard, 60, died on Oct. 14, 2012, at home.
Visitation and rosary will begin at 6 p.m. today at the Shirley Lopez home in Bapchule. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Catholic Church by the Rev. Ed Meulemans. Burial will be in Sacate Cemetery.
Mr. Howard was born on Sept. 16, 1952, in Sacaton and was a hoop dancer while in high school. He was a farmworker and enjoyed hanging out with and helping friends, watching movies, cleaning his yard and driving around in his truck, Froggy. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include a son, Elton Howard of Sacaton; two brothers, Darwin Thomas of Phoenix and Virgil Brown of Kansas; four sisters, Shirley Lopez, Janet Yucupicio and Tina Howard, all of Bapchule, and Karen Howard of Sacaton; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace Howard and Lawanna Losey, and a sister, Patty Howard.
