Elena Gonzales

Elena Gonzales, 76, of Casa Grande died on Jan. 31, 2015, at Oasis Pavilion Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 9:30. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 by the Rev. Ariel Lustan. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mrs. Gonzales was born on Aug. 18, 1938, in Lockhart, Texas, and was a daughter of Santiago and Benita Palacio. She was a homemaker and loved mariachi music and watching people dance. A loving and caring person, she made everyone feel like family and loved to cook and spend time with her grandchildren. They were her world. She was very religious and a member of St. Anthony’s Church.

Survivors include four sons, Orlando, Rene, Javier and Gerardo "Gary" Gonzales, all of Casa Grande; a daughter, Gracy Lavender of Casa Grande; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose, and a sister, Rosa Palacio.
