COOLIDGE — Elena Patricia Juan, 84, of Coolidge died on Sept. 11, 2012, at Plaza Healthcare in Scottsdale.
The wake will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth Catholic Mission, Florence Village. Funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 6 a.m. Monday by Deacon Alfred Gonzales. Burial will be in Florence Cemetery.
Ms. Juan was born on Feb. 28, 1928, in Florence and was a daughter of George Juan and Lucia Antone. She worked as a housekeeper. She enjoyed watching "Jeopardy!" and baseball on television. A "people person," she enjoyed elderly gatherings and going on trips with groups. She also enjoyed family gatherings, talking, and visiting with relatives and friends. She especially enjoyed time spent with the young children in her family.
Survivors include a daughter, Bernadette Whitman of Coolidge; a son, Michael Rodriguez of Casa Grande; a sister, Rosie Gaspar of Florence; a brother, Johnny Lopez of Florence; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Enos and Lena Anselmo.
