Eleno Martinez,

Eleno Martinez Jr., 64, of Casa Grande died Aug. 25, 2009 at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. The celebration of life will follow at 6.

Mr. Martinez was born Dec. 17, 1944 in Weslaco, Texas, and was a son of Petra and Eleno Martinez Sr. He worked at the Hexcel plant in Casa Grande and retired from quality control there after many years of employment. He was a Diamondbacks, Suns and 49ers fan. He enjoyed bowling and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Maria E.; three sons, Carlos Martinez of Grand Junction, Colo., Tony Sherrick of Arvada, Colo., and Rene Martinez of Casa Grande; two daughters, Mari Gallego and Belia Martinez of Casa Grande; four brothers, Juan Martinez of McDonough, Ga., Ramiro and Ruben Martinez of Casa Grande and Pete Martinez of Mesa; four sisters, Yolanda Tapia, Mary Jean Ortiz, Mary Helen Petit and Chachi Zavala, all of Casa Grande; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
