Elizabeth Marie Stokes Norris, 91, of Casa Grande died on Nov. 24, 2009 at Deborah’s House care home.
The memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Chapel, with Pastor David Landry officiating. Private inurnment will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mrs. Norris was born on March 18, 1918 in Macon County, Ill., and was a daughter of Earnest E. and Bertha E. Blakeman. She was a legal secretary before retirement. She was an artist, painting with oils and acrylics. She enjoyed camping and crocheting and was known for her baking, especially her lemon pie. She was devoted to her family and loved her Chihuahuas.
Survivors include two daughters, Maurine N. Dillahunty of Casa Grande and E. Gayle Cherry of Eugene, Ore.; two sons, George McKinley of Golden Valley and B. Michael McKinley of Casa Grande; a stepdaughter, Lela Herman of Casa Grande; a sister, Kay B. Carmona of Laredo, Texas; 16 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd E. Norris; a brother, Dale Blakeman; and a sister, Merry Leigh Stude.
