SACATON FLATS - Elizabeth Pablo, 86, died on Jan. 13, 2018, in Sacaton.
Mrs. Pablo was born on March 30, 1931, in Sacaton to Osif and Katherine Nish. She was an active member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Mission, at one time serving as a prayer leader and as a Kateri Tekakwitha representative. She also served as a representative for the National Council on Aging some years ago.
She loved being actively involved with the elders group in her district and went on many trips with them and participated in many of the elder games. She loved playing bingo, beading and listening to music. She had many friends and was well liked.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Nish and Yvonne Pablo Begay of Hashan Kehk (Sacaton Flats); five sons, Telesphore Pablo Sr. of Sacaton, Bonaventure Pablo Sr., Augustine Pablo, Burdette Pablo and Fitzgerald Pablo, all of Hashan Kehk; 29 grandchildren; 50-plus great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Pablo Sr.; two sons, Nathaniel Pablo Jr. and Angelo Pablo; two sisters, Christine James and Mary Rose Nish; and a brother, Richard Nish.
