Ella D. Coleman

Ella D. Coleman, 89, died on November 19, 2023, at home, which she shared with her granddaughter, Kimberly Fulton (Solomon) in Maricopa, AZ.  Born to Mr. and Mrs. Muchen (Maggie L. Collins) on September 5, 1934, in Union Town, AL, she lived in Mobile, AL until she was 18 years old.  She then moved to Wauwatosa, WI, where she resided for the next 80 years.  In November of 1953 she married John T. Coleman Sr in Milwaukee, WI.

Ella loved shopping around for good sales, playing cards and gardening.  In 1986 Ella was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness and was a faithful member of the congregation.  She truly enjoyed listening to Kingdom Melodies and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.

She is survived by her son, John T. Coleman Jr., her brother, Joe Muchen and three grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, special daughter, Melonie Jones and Breylon and Kingsley – Gran Gran’s special helpers.  Ella is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Tommie Gibbs, Simuel Jones, Ernest Jones, two sisters, Hattie Bell Jones Allen and Susie Warmly, her son, Calvin Merchant and great grandson, Richard.

A memorial service will be held later at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Maricopa.
