Elliott Velasco Juan

VENTANA VILLAGE - Elliott Velasco Juan, 57, of Ventana died on Nov. 18, 2019, at Banner-University Medical Center South in Tucson.

Mr. Juan was born on March 19, 1962, in Sells to Tony and Margaret (Jim) Juan. He was a construction laborer and carpenter and helped build the church in Ventana Village.

He enjoyed watching basketball and football and was always there to help others. He was a good family man.

Survivors include his wife, Mary "Esther" Lopez; two sisters, Shirley A. Manuel and Mary Lou Torres; a stepdaughter, Erica Lopez; a stepson, Eric Lopez; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Charlene and Regina Juan; and a brother, Blaine Juan.

Funeral Mass celebrated at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Lopez home in Ventana Village, with all-day services following. Burial at 3:30 p.m. in Ventana Cemetery.
