Elmeter Essibeth Mckaney

CASA GRANDE - Elmeter Essibeth "Doobie" McKaney, 67, of Casa Grande died on March 1, 2017.

Ms. McKaney was born on May 14, 1949, in Crockett, Texas, to Obular Butler and Lula Williams. She loved spending time with family and enjoyed gardening, sewing, crossword puzzles and shopping. She was a mother of her church and a mentor to many friends in the community.

Survivors include five adult children, John L. McDonald Jr. of Stockton, California, Mervin L. McDonald of Sacramento, California, Pamela L. McDonald of Tucson, Christopher D. McDonald of Casa Grande and Elton W. McDonald of Tucson; a brother, Willie D. Nicholas of Stockton; and four sisters, Mary Gaines of East Palo Alto, California, Sharon Johnson and Marilyn Butler of Stockton and Christine Yates of Louisville, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by a son, Archie D. McDonald; her husband, John L. McDonald; her companion of 20 years, Rosco Craddock; three brothers; and two sisters.
