Eloise Axtman, 85, of Casa Grande died on July 14, 2011, at Chandler Regional Medical Center.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church by the Rev. John Arnold.
Mrs. Axtman was born on Oct. 2, 1925, in Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico, and was a daughter of Antonio Rullán Méndez and Maria C. Córdova Gurría. The family moved to Mexico City in 1934, where she lived until 1950. She graduated from the Banking and Commercial College as an accountant and worked at the America Insurance Company as assistant to the comptroller. In December 1950 she married, and she moved to the United States in January 1951. She lived in Nevada and then moved to California in mid-1952. She lived in Riverside and worked for Sears, Roebuck and Co. in the audit office. In 1962 she moved to Great Falls, Mont., and worked for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service as accounting manager.
In 1963 her marriage ended, and in 1964 she married George W. Axtman, a longtime resident of Great Falls. In 1973 she was transferred to California, then to Tucson in 1974. Se was accounting manager for the Arizona Area and later accounting operations specialist for the Golden Gate Exchange Region. She retired from government service in 1987. In 2004 the couple moved to Casa Grande.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Frank Sheridan of Casa Grande; a daughter, Sandra Cotton of Ulm, Mont.; two brothers, Antonio Rullán of Cholula, Mexico, and Eduardo Rullán of Mexico City; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Francisco and Mario Rullán.
