Elpidio G. Garcia, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away November 10,2024, in Casa Grande, Arizona. He was born on March 8, 1946, in McAllen, Texas, to Margarita and Jose Garcia. Elpidio’s legacy is marked by his unwavering devotion to his family and community, which he nurtured throughout his life.
Elpidio is survived by his beloved spouse, Maria Consuelo Garcia, and their children: Eloi (Tania) Garcia, Corina Garcia, Ernesto (Katarina) Garcia, Eduardo (Tammy) Garcia, and Sandra Garcia. His twenty-five grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren were a significant source of joy in his life, with whom he shared many memorable moments, including trips to feed the animals and delightful days spent fishing, camping, and boating. He was also very blessed to have known and spend time with his great great grand daughter extending his families legacy for many generations to come.
Elpidio was also very dedicated to his work and career with Western Sod , he worked his way up the ranks from a humble irrigation worker to becoming the farm manager. His hard work never went unnoticed and his loyalty was never under appreciated. Elpidio was known for his zest for life and enjoyed traveling with his family, often seeking new adventures and creating lasting memories together. His playful spirit and love for watching and playing with his grandchildren brought immense happiness to their lives.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Margarita Garcia; father, Jose Garcia; brother, Eliverio Garcia; two infant brothers and his grandson, Christian Pintor, who left an indelible mark on the hearts of his family.
Visitation will be held on November 14, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Eloy - Valley Chapel, located at 601 C St, Eloy, AZ 85131. A Mass in honor of Elpidio will take place on November 15, 2024, at 10:30 AM at St. Helen's Catholic Church, located at 205 W 8th St, Eloy, AZ 85131, services will conclude with a burial at Eloy Memorial Park.
Elpidio G. Garcia will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. His passion for life, love for his family, and the warmth of his spirit will continue to resonate in the lives he touched throughout his journey.
