Elvira Garibay Valenzuela, 94, of Casa Grande, AZ died on November 29, 2024. She was born on November 22, 1930 in Waxahachie, Texas to Antonio A Garibay and Juana Rosales Garibay.
Elvira was a devoted mother who loved her family. She loved cooking for her family, friends, and even strangers. She almost always had something cooking in the kitchen, and if she didn’t, she would quickly whip something up when visitors stopped by. Elvira was a wonderful dancer and enjoyed going camping any chance she had. She was known for her great sense of humor and her laughter. She loved being involved in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s lives and attending their activities. Whether at a field, on a court, school functions, recitals, or just babysitting at her home, she loved spending time with family.
Elvira is survived by her children: Michael (Debbie) Valenzuela, Jesse (Virginia) Valenzuela, Rudy( Mary Ann, deceased) Valenzuela, and Rosie (Joe) Nix. She has one surviving sister: Susie Vaquera, eleven grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Elvira is preceded in death by both her parents and her Husband Jesus O. Valenzuela; her siblings: Betty La Darte, Ophelia Orr, Rudy Garibay, and Connie Garibay.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at J. Warren Funeral Services The Gardens Chapel, 525 N Peart Rd Casa Grande, AZ 85122 Rosary 10:00 am, Scripture Service 10:30, and Interment to follow at Mt. View Cemetery
