Emma Martinez

ELOY — Emma Calvillo Martinez, 65, of Eloy died on Jan. 30, 2011, at Oasis Pavilion Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Casa Grande.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited at 10. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 by the Rev. Juan Carlos Aguirre. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
Mrs. Martinez was born on Oct. 11, 1945, in El Paso, Texas, and was a daughter of Lorenzo Calvillo and Ramona Mercado. She was a restaurant manager. She attended St. Helen’s Church and loved taking care of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed caring for her plants and animals.
Survivors include her husband, Felix; two sons, Paul Cruz Valdez and Michael Martinez of Eloy; a daughter, Mandi M. Martinez of Eloy; four brothers, Robert Calvillo of Eloy, John Mercado of Nebraska, Manuel Mercado of Gilbert and Steve Mercado of Eloy; two sisters, Lupe Moncivaiz of Casa Grande and Mary Cooke of Peoria; and seven grandchildren.
