Esperanza H. Tapia

Esperanza H. Tapia, 86, of Casa Grande died on June 6, 2013, at Hospice Family Care.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with rosary recited at 9:30. A celebration of life will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mrs. Tapia was born on Sept. 28, 1926, in Mesa and was a daughter of Thomas and Guadalupe Hernandez. She was a homemaker and lived in Casa Grande for 60 years. She enjoyed watching sports, cooking and spending time with her family and had been a survivor of breast cancer.
Survivors include three sons, Willie H. Tapia Jr. of Arizona City, Richard and Carlos Tapia of Casa Grande; two daughters, Helen Torres of Casa Grande and Lucia Steinkraus of Queen Creek; a brother, Richard Hernandez of Tucson; a sister, Rosa Mesa of Tucson; 17 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Willie H. Tapia Sr.; a son, Luis Tapia; a sister, Gloria Villa; and a great-grandson, Allen Ortega.
