Esteban Macias, age 55, passed away on August 26, 2021 in Gilbert, Arizona.
Esteban was born January 30, 1966 in Los Angeles, California to Jesus and Evangelina (Ben) Macias.
He graduated from high school in Apache Junction, Arizona. He went on to study at South Mountain Community College in Phoenix and Arizona State University where he obtained his bachelor’s degree.
Esteban married Catherine Reed on November 24, 2001 in Mesa, Arizona.
Esteban worked for many years as a social worker for San Tan Behavioral Health. He enjoyed woodworking as a hobby.
He loved helping people and taking care of his family.
He is survived by his wife Catherine Macias of Casa Grande, Arizona; by his sons Esteban Samuel Macias of Sacaton, Arizona; by his daughter Jennifer Rose Macias of Washington; by his brothers, Jerry Macias of New Mexico, Alberto Macias or California, Ernesto Macias, Carlos Macias and Francisco Macias, all of Arizona; by his sisters Cristina Castillo of New Mexico, and Leticia Macias of Arizona.
He is preceded in death by his mother Evangelina Macias.
His family will remember him as a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. “He will be missed; he touched everyone’s lives for the better.”
Services will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 787 E. Kortsen Road in Casa Grande. A luncheon for the family will follow.
