Esther Alice Nevarez

ELOY - Esther Alice Nevarez, 72, died on July 13, 2018.

Mrs. Nevarez was born on June 23, 1946, in Nogales, Arizona. She had been a resident of Tucson for 60 years prior to moving to Eloy, where she lived for the last 12 years. On Nov. 23, 2007, she married Jose A. Nevarez in Eloy. She had worked for University Medical Center in Tucson for 10 years prior to her retirement.

She loved being with her family. She enjoyed doing many things with her husband such as cruising while listening to music, dancing and going to the movies. She took pleasure in attending church every Sunday. She liked singing and dancing while at home. She was a great seamstress and did a lot of sewing. She loved cookouts with her family and friends. She was devoted to her family.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Cindy Alvarado of Tucson; a son, Richard Lopez of Eloy; two stepdaughters of Ascencion, Chihuahua, Mexico; two stepsons of Ascencion and Phoenix; a sister, Mary Hill; seven grandchildren; 17 stepgrandchildren; one great-grandchild; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
Visitation from 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 20, at J. Warren Funeral Services, Valley Chapel in Eloy, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass celebrated at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church by the Rev. Alonzo Garcia. Cremation following.
